Last March we conducted the TECH4Change NTTDATA workshops with the students of 1st and 2nd of ESO of IES Marqués de Suanzes, online by the restrictions of covid, in collaboration with CREATICA, in charge of being in person with the students preparing the classrooms, training volunteers and giving all the support to the session.

During the sessions we taught them how to program an arcade video game like Pokemon or Cell or Mario Bross, those games that we loved when we were little and that few of them had heard of, let alone played in their original versions, from the Game Boy era.

All this made us remember our early years in the world of video games and how much progress has been made in this field, but above all it made us remember our school years, that characteristic chaos that is breathed in a high school class when you break the routine and teach them something completely new and different from what they are used to.
These sessions were very comforting because of the involvement of the students, who showed their enthusiasm to do it and follow the class and above all because there are always several who surprise you with their originality and talent, as a student who created a character in just 2 minutes.

On April 25 was held the closing event where some of the students of the workshops where we taught them to program and fly drones.
We gathered at La Nave in Madrid, where the students were put in pairs, were given a drone and a tablet to each pair and ... to program and fly!
The fact of mixing the use of drones with the use of tablets was already very stimulating, but they also learned to fly a drone to follow a trajectory that they had programmed in advance? It was a blast!
The Creática Association organized the session and provided the material, as well as the obstacles that the drones encountered in La Nave, for example hoops with lights so that the drones could pass through the center, turn around and do pirouettes.

An activity where not only the youngsters had a good time, but the adults had the same or better time than them.

Highly recommended, I encourage you all to participate in the next edition!
Best regards!!!!!!!!!
